DESCRIPTION

Parabolic louvers represent the most sophisticated form of lighting control available to the lighting industry today. Optically perfect mirrored parabolic shapes are designed to reflect maximum light with its 44° shielding angle. The brightness control permits efficient illumination without the discomfort and eyestrain normally associated with source brightness and glare.

Para-Lite 1 incorporates the typical design features producing the same low-key appearance often associated with incandescent downlighting. The small cell (5/8” x 5/8” x 7/16”) overall louver pattern provides a quiet understated visual appearance. Para-Lite 1 permits complete brightness control within the normal viewing angles regardless of source intensity or size. It offers an outstanding VCP index rating of .99 (specular finish).

DESCRIPTION

Para-Lite 2 is a parabolic louver that provides maximum illumination efficiency, which has become increasingly important with today's energy concerns. This louver, though extremely efficient, maintains excellent low brightness qualities often associated with incandescent downlighting. The 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1" (high) parabolic cell provides a bolder appearance preferred by many designers. It provides a 38° shielding angle and has an efficiency of 52.6%. The specular silver finish has a V.C.P. rating of .93. Para-Lite 2 louvers are molded for fluorescent fixture or luminous ceiling applications.

The Para-Lite 2 Series now has the greatest array of perimeter variations and the widest color selection of any parabolic louver on the market. Para-Lite 2 offers the ultimate in flexibility.

DESCRIPTION

Para-Lite 3, a parabolic louver specifically designed for today’s and tomorrow’s energy and lighting needs. A small cell louver offering maximum in illuminating efficiency while maintaining a discrete low brightness appearance because of its double wedge design. Efficiency and brightness control — the ultimate combination to meet today’s energy concerns and stricter codes. The Specular Silver finish provides a 66.3% efficiency, shielding angle of 35° and a V.C.P. index rating of .93.

Little or no modification of the louver panel is required for installation in most existing or new fluorescent luminaires. The low shielding gives excellent lamp obscuration. Available in two styles, ceiling and flange. Manufactured of polystyrene or acrylic material.
